The training is aimed at checking the efficiency of the control room, civil defence equipment in use, and the coordination between different participants, such as school staff, students, emergency, department of police, and medical services.

The training began by receiving information at 10am from the operation room through a call made by a female teacher indicating that a fire had erupted in the store on the ground floor with the presumption of the presence of some persons trapped in the store. The Civil Defence firefighters rushed to the site and found smoke bellowing in the sky. The female students and their teachers were evacuated by the school security and safety team and kept in a safe place.

The Civil Defence had set up two search and rescue teams and two other teams for firefighting. Also, other necessary coordinating steps were taken with other bodies concerned for the safety of the people and property.

At the end of the evacuation drill, the participating teams, according to the planned scenario of evacuation which concentrated on fire containment and rescue, had checked the building and made sure of no further existence of any danger.

The evacuation drill illustrated a high level of cooperation and coordination between the Civil Defence, police and school administration as a result of the preparations preceding the evacuation drill which focused on awareness lectures and demonstrations for female students and their teachers.
