Announcing the reforms in salary structure, Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, UAE Minister of Health, said: “We have set up a committee to study the changes in salary structure of hospital and clinic staff, and these will be implemented soon after the committee submits its recommendations.”

He said that the committee will assess the working of hospitals and calculate the losses and study their requirements. He said that more health centres would also be set up in Dubai soon to fulfil the needs of patients.

Among other changes to be implemented, Al Qutami announced that an eHealth information and call centre to establish communication between hospitals and health centres would also be set up.

“The call centre will give information to customers and keep them updated on the latest developments taking place and any announcements regarding changes in rules and regulations,” he said.
