The Union of Comoros cut diplomatic ties with the State of Qatar on Thursday, joining several others in severing ties with the Arab country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Comoros said in a memorandum addressed to the Embassy of Qatar in Moroni that the "the decision to severe ties is effective from Wednesday".
