The Congress on Tuesday removed Sachin Pilot as Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister and as state party chief after he skipped the second meeting of MLAs, NDTV reported.
Two ministers who supported him in his revolt have also been sacked. Sachin Pilot was "ensnared" by the BJP to bring down the Congress government in Rajasthan, said the party, according to the NDTV report.
Pilot, whose demands reportedly included Chief Ministership, had been asked to attend the meeting.
However, he rejected all overtures. His exit from the Congress is inevitable.
