Correspondent was on air when Abu Dhabi TV office in Baghdad was bombed

ABU DHABI- The Abu Dhabi Satellite TV channel announced here yesterday that its office in Baghdad was a target of bombardment. At the time of the shelling, Abu Dhabi channel was telecasting a report by its correspondent in Baghdad, who was outside the office which came under attack. He was asked to move to the channel's offices in the Iraqi capital for safety of the staff.

The correspondent of the Abu Dhabi TV channel in Washington said he had made contacts with the US Defence Department, Pentagon and the headquarters of the US forces in Qatar and had spoken with one of its officers, Captain Stewart, who told him that the US forces were targeting key locations and that he did not understand why the office of Abu Dhabi TV had been hit. The officer said that he would investigate the matter.
