The banned activities continued even as police patrol cars made their rounds of the beach. Families complained saying the police patrol posed no deterrent to the miscreants.

A picnicker expressing surprise over how the violators ignored the police patrol and said: “It is surprising the police has not arrested these trouble makers.”

He called upon parents to prevent their wards from riding motorbikes which endanger their life and that of the public. He warned that people who do not cooperate with the police could face legal action if their behaviour posed a threat to public safety.
“People should cooperate with Dubai police and take positive actions to ensure the society’s safety and security ,” he said.
