On this day, the brotherly Pakistani nation is celebrating Pakistan Day with traditional zeal and commitment to work hard towards progress and prosperity, in commemoration of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940.
On this auspicious occasion, I extend on behalf of the UAE leadership and the people, our sincere greetings and best wishes to the leadership and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Indeed this day reminds us the great successes achieved by our Pakistani brothers with their peaceful struggle under the guidance and visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
We, in the UAE, share this joy of the brotherly nation as the two countries have deep-rooted affinity of historical and cultural bonds, and both nations share the respect and pride in legendary of our leaders, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
That is the reason the UAE and Pakistan enjoy a unique friendship that has withstood various tests and the scope of our cooperation kept expanding with the passage of time that now covers various fields.
The current leadership of both countries have shown their keen desires to give an impetus to the bilateral relations at political, economic and social levels and extend these relations to broader horizons. Eventually the bilateral relations have sustained and the two countries witnessed high-level exchanges, the most prominent being the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on the eve of 2020 and several visits of Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the UAE.
My message for today is that we need the same spirit and patience in overcoming the prevailing challenges on social or economical fields in wake of pandemic Covid-19, and would like to recall for commitments to the leadership's directives in saving the lives of your families and nation.
I trust that Pakistan under the courageous leadership will continue its journey towards peace, social and economic development and I am confident that under the joint efforts of the leaderships of both countries, the relations will continue to keep pace with that of time.
I wish Pakistan all the success with renewed commitment of cooperation and support.
