DGEP Award winners to get Dh50,000 bonus

DUBAI — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has directed the Dubai Government Excellence Programme (DGEP) Award winners to be given a cash bonus of Dh50,000.

The cash prize, part of a package of incentives decreed by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed, also includes a work promotion for all winners regardless of the date of their previous promotion.

In all, there were 22 DGEP award winners in 11 categories, in addition to 11 innovators and 25 'Unsung Heroes'.

The winner of the Distinguished Government Employee Award Sultan Ali Lutah from Dubai Economic Development Department, will receive Dh100,000 as part of the royal incentive, plus a promotion.

The DGEP awards were presented on Monday at Madinat Jumeirah Arena.

The DGEP said that Shaikh Mohammed's move further reinforces his keenness in developing the government sector and raising its performance level to global standards, aiming to encourage employees in their pursuit of excellence.
