The auction, which offered 106 distinguished number plates comprising 3, 4 and 5-digit numbers in categories D, E, F and G, ended with a total sales of Dh35,819,500.

The auction witnessed intense competition among more than 300 bidders. The two-digit numbers 50, 23, 32 and 96 in category G were subject of hectic bidding as they topped the overall sales list.

G 23 fetched Dh2.92 million, followed by G 32 which went for Dh2.5 million and G 96 which generated Dh2.24 million.

In the three-digit number series, bidders showed particular interest in acquiring the numbers F 700 as well as G 660, 770, 880 and 990. F 700 was sold for Dh1.35 million followed by G 770 and G 880, each of them was sold for Dh560,000. Total proceeds of these five number plates were as high as Dh3.48 million.

Bidders then switched attention to the four-digit number series, where 39 number plates were on offer. Number plates 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000, and 3300 in G category filled the first five places in the sales order, with the total proceeds of Dh2.47 million, led by G 8000 which fetched Dh690,000.

The same momentum of fierce bidding was carried through the end of the session in which 24 five-digit number plates of categories D, E, F and G were offered. Bidding touched top gear with the sale of number plates 2002, 40004, 50005 and 70007 and the whole series fetched Dh1.524 million.
