Actor Dileep, who is out on bail in an actress attack case, has approached the Kerala high court seeking release of his passport to visit Dubai.
According to Times of India report, Dileep filed a plea in the court seeking permission to travel to Dubai to attend the inauguration of his restaurant 'Dhe Puttu'.
The actor has repeatedly informed the court that the launch ceremony was scheduled before he was included as one of the accused in the actress attack case in February.
The opening of the restaurant has now been scheduled for November 29 and his presence is required there for the business promotion of the venture, the report said.
The opening of the restaurant would range for a period from four days to a week, he said in his plea.
Dileep was arrested on July 10 and spent 85 days behind bars in connection with the abduction and sexual assault of an actress. The Kerala high court granted him bail on October 3, but imposed stringent conditions. The bail conditions included surrendering his passport, furnishing a bond of Rs1 lakh and a pledge to stay away from witnesses in the case.
