MWL Secretary General stressed the need for unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians by opening all crossings
This is the third full service branch of the DNRD after Jebel Ali and Dubai Airport Free Zone branches offering visas, passports and residency services, for people living in remote areas without the need to go to DNRD's headquarters located in Bur Dubai and thereby reducing the pressure at the headquarters.
Brigadier Saeed Mattar bin Bleilah, Director of DNRD, said: “DNRD's mission has been to ease the lives of people by adopting various measures, driven by the needs of end-users. As the emirate of Dubai keeps growing in population, we try to match that growth by coming up with more innovative solutions.”
“While we have tried to ease the congestion at the head office by offering online services and simplifying procedures, the other effective solution was to open branches of DNRD all around Dubai," added Brig. Mattar bin Bleilah. “We are delighted to offer full services to the residents of Hatta and surrounding areas by opening this new branch. We are positive that the people of Hatta will find our services very rewarding.”
The new office is located on the Hatta Main road near Dubai Municipality Office. The opening hours are from 7.30am to 2.30pm. Equipped to serve visa, passport and residency documentation and process needs of up to 300 people per day in the first year of operations, the office will initially have 12 employees. The branch is linked electronically to the headquarters enabling the staff to provide quick and efficient services.
“DNRD is constantly studying ways of providing ease and comfort to the people of Dubai," said Brig. Mattar bin Bleilah. “We have been helped by the best breed of computer technology that has been leveraged by our IT department to provide the same level of services throughout the emirate. By opening this centre, we would like to assure the people of Hatta that they can expect the highest standards of service, without having to travel far for their visa and passport needs.”
