DUBAI - The five temporary clinics set up around Dubai by the Dubai Department of Health and Medical Services (Dohms) especially for the Dubai Shopping Festival, have to date conducted free eye tests on 8,800 members of the general public of all ages and nationalities.
Dr Salah Abdul Aziz Al Qasim, Head of the Organising Committee for Dohms DSF events, said the Dohms medical centres that were set up to cater for DSF visitors are located on Riqqa Street, Al Seef Street, at the Deira City Centre, at the Dubai International Airport, and at the Heritage Village.
Dr Al Qasim said the free eye tests are carried out by qualified medical doctors who work at the various medical centres and hospitals of the Dohms. Visitors to these DSF venues can visit Dohms eye test centres and avail themselves of the attractive offers by opticians for those who need it, in addition to the many raffle draws.
The large number of visitors to Dohms centres encourages the department to host such events in the future, thus helping members of the general public detect diseases and ailments early, offering them medical advice and guidance.
