During the inauguration of the Dubai Hospital Pharmacy, Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director-General of Dohms said that the luxury suites would be available to whoever can afford them, be it expatriates or UAE nationals. “At the moment, there are no future plans to lower the medical fees,” he said.

The luxury suites are under construction on the 11th floor of the hospital and will be available from the month of December at a price of Dh1,500 per day. The charges cover the cost of medicine. “These charges are still less than those charged by private hospitals,” he said, adding that only a few such rooms would be reserved for dignitaries. “We are sure that women will welcome this new addition at the hospital,” he added. “The launch of new services for Dubai Hospital aims at modernising the services in Dohms hospitals, and making patients as comfortable as they would be in private hospitals,” said Qadhi Murooshid.

He said that the hospital had also added more coffee shops to provide recreational facilities to the visitors. Talking about the pharmacy, he said it would provide medicines and other basic material that is not available in other pharmacies in the emirate. “The medicines at the pharmacy include those to treat cancer, and are available at affordable rates,” said Qadhi Murooshid. Meanwhile, a new department for Oncology has also been opened at the hospital. Qadhi Murooshid was accompanied by Dr Abdulrazzaq Al Madani, Director of the Dubai Hospital.
