This is the second time the department has published this booklet that enlightens the readers about the significance of Ramadan, interesting insights into the culture and traditions of the emirate and Dubai's social life.
Titled A Taste of Ramadan, the booklet offers information on the do's and don't to be followed in public places during the fasting hours and afterwards. The booklet acts as a guide to visitors as Dubai has become a round-the-year business and holiday destination for people from different parts of the world.
The booklet will help clear misconceptions and apprehensions about the holy month and encourage more and more people to visit Dubai during this month.
The booklet highlights DTCM's role in preserving and promoting the heritage sites.
The booklet is available at the department's Head Office, Visitors Information Bureaus at Deira City Centre, BurJuman, and Hamarain Centre, DTCM's heritage sites, and the Dubai International Airport.
The department has also dispatched the booklets to its 13 overseas offices for distribution among the tourists interested in coming to Dubai during Ramadan.
The department has appreciated the efforts of the Shaikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU) in dispelling misconceptions about the local culture and traditions among the visitors from different parts of the world and offering them an opportunity to experience the traditional Arabian hospitality and learn about the local culture, traditions, and heritage.
