A new service branch for the Dubai Courts was inaugurated in Ras Al Khor on Thursday by the director-general of the Dubai Courts, Taresh Al Mansouri.
The new centre, named 'Al Adheed', is the first among a total of six new (Al Adheed) branches that will be ready before the end of the year. The new branches will help cut the number of customers at the Dubai Courts by 80 per cent in 2018.
Al Mansouri said the new centres would make it easier for the customers to access the courts' services.
"The goal is to achieve customers' happiness and satisfaction, consistently with offering distinguished government services while complying with highest standards of judicial work. The strategic priority is securing an effective and competitive prosecuting process and guaranteeing easy access to our services," the director-general said.
Mohammed Al Obaidly, executive manager of the case sector, Dubai Courts, said "a committee of experts from the courts was formed to keep track of the opening of the centres. All the new offices, where Emiratisation has been strictly adhered to, were approved after it was made sure they met the necessary standards for quality services."
Al Obaidly pointed out that free services would be extended to certain categories, including labourers. "The centres and their services will also be set to welcome people of determination and the elderly on a priority basis."
According to Shamseddine Al Badawi, chairman of Al Adheed centres committee, the new branches will offer multiple services, including filing electronic applications to register all kinds of lawsuits and the necessary follow-ups, inquiry about the case information and details, notary-public services, attestation services related to personal status matters, marriage services, and more.
