Motorists in Dubai can now pay their seasonal parking card fee and fines in installments.
The payment shall be fixed at varying time scale, depending on the amount, through Emirates National Bank of Dubai (EmiratesNBD) credit cards.
The motorists can use the payment plan via ENBD mobile apps or at the points of sale of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The scheme jointly launched by the RTA and EmiratesNBD gives motorists an opportunity to clear their dues.
Ahmed Al Kaabi, RTA's executive director of Finance, said: "The RTA had agreed with the EmiratesNBD on a plan for payment of fines and fees of seasonal parking cards through interest-free installments over periods of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months.
"This initiative is aimed at easing the burden on owners of vehicles in paying for their fines and fees of seasonal parking cards through offering them longer payment period with no interest."
Ahmed Al Marzouki, executive vice-president and executive vice- president. head of retail distribution at the EmiratesNBD, said: "This initiative is driven by the bank's commitment to its social responsibility, and serving the clients of both the bank and the RTA."
