Dubai Municipality to ensure clean Eid Al Fitr

As part of its efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the city and to ensure clean and safe days of Eid celebrations, the Dubai Municipality’s Waste Management department has deployed special teams and intensified the routine activities to manage and collect waste from various parts of Dubai.

The director of the department Abdul Majeed Al Saifaie said the Dubai Municipality has taken all precautions to manage possible excess waste materials during the Eid holidays. He said the civic body urges the public to maintain Dubai’s cleanliness levels during celebrations. “We (have) deployed 10 special emergency teams who have been given directions and (an) action plan to tackle with such situations,” Saifaie said. “We (have) arranged teams to clean up Eid Musallahs and (deployed more) waste containers to collect excess rubbish generated during the celebrations in addition to sending teams to roam around the city with the task of maintaining general cleanliness.”

On Eid days, special action teams comprising 20 supervisors and 330 workers are ready to collect and manage waste in addition to the routine waste management machinery. — news@khaleejtimes.com
