DUBAI — Dubai eGovernment has extended the online feedback promotion on its portal www.dubai.ae, following strong interest from the public. The two-week promotion that was launched on April 27 will now run until May 18.
The promotion is part of an exercise to raise the involvement of members of the public in the process of policy making at Dubai eGovernment. The portal received a large number of suggestions since the promotion began.
"As public feedback is central to the success of any egovernment project, we are offering people a chance to send their suggestions and complaints," said Salem Al Shair, eServices Director, Dubai eGovernment.
He added, "The programme has generated a high degree of excitement among the public and we are extending it in order to give chance to more people to submit their entries. We believe that the feedback we receive will help us introduce changes demanded by end-users. This will make us truly customer-centric and responsive to the changing demands of the people."
Under the promotion, UAE residents who fill in an online feedback form on the Dubai eGovernment portal are eligible to win various prizes. “The promotion will also achieve the objective of familiarising the public with our integrated portal that has been developed using advanced systems," said Al Shair.
The promotion is open to all UAE residents and participants have to fill in a feedback form on the portal and submit their entry. The entries will be judged by a committee comprising representatives from Dubai eGovernment and Hewlett-Packard, the sponsor of the programme.
Twenty-five best suggestions will receive prizes from the sponsor. The first prize winner will take home an HP ep9012 Instant Cinema Digital Projector inclusive of a projector, DVD player and a sound system.
