Eight new towers to rise in Ajman

AJMAN — The Licences Section of Ajman Department of Municipality and Planning recently issued licences for construction of eight towers by the end of the year on Ajman Corniche Road.

Ali Al Hamrani, Director-General of Ajman Municipality, told Khaleej Times that the construction of these towers, varying from 30 storeys to 60 storeys, will cost around Dh600 million.

The design of the towers will based on modern architecture and specification, and the structures will be equipped with advanced fire protection systems.

Al Hamrani said the municipality was making all efforts to encourage major projects which would contribute to the Emirate's development and promote real estate business in the Emirate.

It also working hard towards facilitating fast clearance of all documents by simplifying routine procedures of investment in the real estate field. This will help in attracting more real estate investors whose projects will add to the development of the emirate's infrastructure.

The municipality is also coming out with a bunch of regulations and laws to regulate performance of construction consultancy offices and companies in the emirate.

The proposed regulation will ensure that construction companies stick to quality, safety and security conditions of construction, besides making it mandatory for them to supervise labourers involved in various construction projects.

Investment in real estate in Ajman was growing rapidly due to the increasing number of new buildings and real estate companies coming up in various parts of the emirate, he said, adding that the municipality will complete the new structural plan for Ajman soon, which includes replanning of old residential areas and planning for new ones.

The municipality recently began several vital developmental projects including advanced road network, parks and several public service premises to contribute to the emirate's infrastructure development.
