Dubai - The father told us he was very touched by the airline staff's efficiency, and grateful that his daughter's feet didn't get burnt on the blistering tarmac.

"How did they know to provide shoes? (sic)" wonders Rajaram Vainkutam, a service representative in the automobile industry, marvelling at the quick thinking of Emirates crew.
His elder daughter Harini, 10, lost one slipper when she jumped off the plane onto the runway on one of the hottest days of the year. Vainkutam says it's hotter on the runway than on any other surface. In no time, he says, recounting Harini's take, the crew had provided her - and others who'd lost their shoes - with brand new replacements. The father told us he was very touched by the airline staff's efficiency, and grateful that his daughter's feet didn't get burnt on the blistering tarmac.
