The Abu Dhabi police honoured Mohamad Adel Al Kindi for helping a two-year-old toddler who was walking alone in the streets.
The Emirati man was driving when he found the child unattended at Shakboot city with no adult nearby. He immediately pulled over and reported the situation to competent authorities. Al Kindi, out of his sense of social responsibility, took care of the child until a police patrol responded to his call.
The responding officer managed to locate the child's home which was near the area where Al Kindi found him.
Brigadier Muslem Mohamad Al Amri, Director of the Directorate of the Peripheral Areas Police of the Criminal Security Sector, hailed Al Kindi saying he deserved a commendation for the noble and humanitarian act.
Additionally, Al Amri warned of the consequences of leaving children unaccompanied. He stressed that parents must always be near their child in order to safeguard them from any harm.
