Meraas, a Dubai-based holding company, will join the UAE in marking the nation's 45th National Day, through a series of innovative activations across each of its destinations.
Reinforcing its promise of creating unique experiences for its visitors and residents, Meraas will express its pride in the nation through a series of patriotic, entertaining and interactive events, including a stunning firework display at The Beach and traditional performances and markets at City Walk. Boxpark will welcome visitors with traditional Emirati entertainers. Shoppers at The Outlet Village will be entertained by traditional musicians and there will be parades of luxury cars at Last Exit, with diners also being able to take advantage of special National Day offers.
The Beach
Over the 45th National Day weekend, The Beach, Meraas' upbeat, urban lifestyle destination, will be resplendently decked out in the colours of the UAE. The Beach will also be providing visitors with complimentary flags to ensure that everyone can partake in the celebration of national unity.
The Beach will be a hive of activity and entertainment over the long weekend as traditional performers showcase their talents on the North Lawn from 2pm each day (1 - 3 December). The entertainment will continue long after the sun sets, with a complimentary music concert, featuring the singer Faisal Al Jasem, on The Beach's South Lawn on the evening of Thursday 1 December. The Beach is also once again partnering with DTCM for a spectacular, celebratory firework display, that will illuminate the sky on Friday 2 December. Both the concert and the fireworks display will commence at 8:30pm.
Boxpark
Boxpark, the offbeat destination by Meraas, is all set to join the UAE's 45th National Day celebrations with activities that will transform the destination into a traditional hotspot for all residents and visitors to enjoy
The contemporary shopping and eating area will be dressed in the colours of the UAE flag courtesy of a stunning light projection, and visitors can also expect traditionally-themed roaming entertainment throughout the destination and complimentary UAE flags
City Walk
City Walk , the premier urban lifestyle destination, will spring to life this National Day with an array of entertaining, cultural and family-friendly activities. From 29 November to 4 December, visitors can enjoy performances by local Emirati dance groups, roaming entertainers, relax in an Arabian hospitality tent with complimentary Arabic coffee and dates, as well shop from the Ripe Market selling traditional accessories and local merchandise
To celebrate the spirit of the different cultures the UAE brings together, there will also be daily traditional performances from different countries on the live performance stage, as well as an international market. In addition, for the children, there will be origami workshops as well as activities arranged by the latest children's hotspot, Level Kids, from decorating t shirts to tutus with the UAE flag.
On December 1st, motor heads can enjoy the view of 50 Lamborghini super cars in green, white, red and black forming the shape of the UAE Flag.
Last Exit
Meraas' gourmet food truck pit-stop destination will feature a whole host of patriotic activities over National Day weekend and there will be special offers at Café 71 and My Karak, Last Exit's Emirati-themed food trucks.
Diners at Last Exit will also be entertained by live Emirati folk musicians and traditional Arabic hospitality tents. In addition, Last Exit will be welcoming members from the 'Lamborghini' and 'Maserati' car owners' clubs as well as 'The Hawks Bikers Club', who will all be making pit stops at Last Exit during the weekend.
The Outlet Village
The Outlet Village, Meraas' picturesque retail enclave, will be bedecked in UAE flags and banners in celebration of the 45th National Day, and all customers will receive free mini flags to help continue the festivities. Live UAE folk groups will keep shoppers entertained as they peruse the fabulous selection of outlet stores, whilst Arabian hospitality tents will be offering customers complimentary henna tattoos. There will also be the opportunity for visitors to take part in a photoshoot, whilst dressed in traditional Emirati attire.
