Following demand from the transport and fuel industry and environmentalists, MeCorp unveiled ‘Enviro-Diesel’ to the UAE government on Tuesday and the government detailed their appreciation for MeCorp’s environmental efforts.

Described as the first ever non-petrochemical environmentally friendly lubricant in the region, the product is added to diesel to make it self-cleansing and self-lubricating.

“This enables smooth functioning of engine parts causing diesel to burn efficiently without harmful emissions,” according to an MeCorp statement. The product cost is low making it attractive to private fuel vendors supplying diesel to large transport and construction industry. “Enviro-Diesel is rather economical than the normal bio-diesel used and has the capacity to increase engine performance levels leading to decreased toxic emissions.”

However it is subject to final approval by the UAE government.
