Expo on UAE's glorious heritage

DUBAI - As part of the Arts Surprises theme week events and activities, an exhibition featuring twenty black-and-white images of the UAE's glorious heritage was opened yesterday at the BurJuman Centre, Level 2. Emarati hobby photographer, Abdul Nasar Ali, has taken the photographs. DSS Executive Chairman Hussain Ali Lootah and Captain Omar Al Shamsi, Deputy Head of Arts Surprises Organising Committee inaugurated the exhibition. All the photographs are for sale.

Captain Omar Al Shamsi said, "Under the directions of His Highness Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, the UAE has made special efforts to protect and nourish its cultural heritage. Through this exhibition by Abdul Nasir, we hope to support some of these efforts by familiarising the young with the legacy that they have inherited."

Abdul Nasir thanked the efforts of the Department of Naturalisation and Residency and the other government departments who take a lead in creating events that promote awareness of the UAE's heritage.
