Filipino Presidential Awards

ABU DHABI - The Philippine ambassador to the UAE has announced that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas will accept shortly endorsements from the Philippine embassy for nominations to the Year 2004 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organisations Overseas.

The awards will be distributed at a ceremony to be held in Manila in December. Those who wish to submit their nominations and endorsements can forward the same to the Philippine embassy not later than May 4 for onward transmittal to the Commission on Filipinos Overseas on or before May 15. AUST convention centre

AJMAN - Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) Network signed a contract with a national construction firm to build a multi-purpose international conference centre on the University's main campus in AI Jurf. Dr Saeed Salman, AUST President, pointed out that the main objective of establishing a multi-purpose conference centre that can accommodate 2,000 people and equipped with the latest technology, is to provide the university is quite focused in its vision with many more projects of its kind in the pipeline to improve the academic and cultural environment, said Dr Salman.
