Fishing ports in Dubai to be developed

Preparations are afoot in Dubai to renovate the fishing ports and harbours, the RTA announced after a meeting on Monday.

The move follows the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on “preserving the traditional profession and legacy of the forefathers”.

The meeting was attended by Lt-General Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the office of the Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police; Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman and Executive Director of the RTA; and Salah Al Amiri, Assistant Director-General of Dubai Municipality for Environment and Public Health Services.
