A Met official told Khaleej Times that the fog in the airport area in the morning today would be less condensed and the visibility level would be at around 4,000 metres. The visibility was at 1,000 metres yesterday morning.

Following the adverse weather over the past week which played havoc with the flight schedules, the Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC) has started taking measures to ensure minimal impact on the air traffic flow and passengers’ travel plans.

Khalifa Al Mazrouei, chairman and managing director of ADAC, said: “Abu Dhabi International Airport is working hard to alleviate disruptions in air traffic due to bad weather. I understand the frustration the passengers have gone through in the last few days. However, our first and foremost responsibility as airport operators is the safety and security of our passengers.” An Itihad spokesperson told Khaleej Times, “Since yesterday, the weather has improved to a great extent. We believe the flight schedules will be normal from today.”
