Speaking at the first Middle East Forum on Information Technology in healthcare, Ranjana Maitra, Chief Operating Officer, Wipro Healthcare IT Ltd, said: “Hospitals in the Middle East are facing challenges in ensuring that services are provided and bills are submitted as per their agreements with insurance and corporate companies."

‘Make a difference’
DUBAI — Dubai Barclays Bank continued its community relations drive by recently hosting “Make a difference Day" (MADD) in the UAE.
Staff from the bank's offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai volunteered at schools and special needs centres across the Emirates to spend time with the children, assist with classes and take part in facility improvement activities such as gardening and tree planting.
The company also donated computing equipment to one centre in Abu Dhabi. As part of the activities Barclays staff visited children at Al Noor Centre in Abu Dhabi, Rashid Paediatric Centre and Al Shafey School in Dubai, and Manzil, a school for special needs in Sharjah.
Exhibition
SHARJAH — The School of Architecture and Design (SA&D) at the American University of Sharjah is hosting an exhibition "Design for an Emerging World".
The exhibition, which runs till December 15, showcases the winning projects of the 2005 Cityscape Architectural Review Awards and is part of the ongoing collaboration between SA&D and Cityscape, a world renowned international property investment and development event held annually in Dubai. The Cityscape Award programme is conducted jointly between Cityscape and Architectural Review, the UK-based premier professional journal.
