OCCUPIED JERUSALEM - The foundation stone was laid on Tuesday for the Shaikh Zayed Arab Teachers' housing suburb being constructed by the UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS) at the cost of Dh15 million.
Present at the ceremony were the members of an RCS delegation, the 13th to visit the area in the recent past. Abdullah Mohammed Al Mahmoud leads the delegation.
Mr Al Mahmoud said that such vital project was part of the chain of projects carried out by the society under the guidance of the UAE leadership with the objective of rehabilitating the Palestinian infrastructure. He added that the project being supervised by the Arab Teachers' Housing Association in occupied Jerusalem would comprise 58 housing units each measuring 90 square metres, sitting on a total area of 20,000 square metres.
