A statement issued by Emirates Identity Authority (Eida), called upon the affected families to proceed to the Eida registration centre in Sharjah or Ajman to get a new national ID card in exchange for that lost in the fire.

The affected families shall have a ‘free’ registration in the national ID register, too.

The move comes in accordance with the directives of Lt General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the board of Eida.

Eida stated that such an initiative bestowed by Shaikh Saif shows the concern for families whose belongings were destroyed in the inferno.
