The move comes in line with the directives by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on holding of the entertainment sessions and family recreation during Eid in Dubai, where the shopping malls will be open round the clock.

Ghobash said in a statement on Wednesday that chances will be given to the targeted firms to recruit temporary labours for only a period of one month in the UAE, indicating that their working hours will be lesser compared to their peers in the same firms.

He added that those entitled to the temporary work include, the registered labour who hold the valid labour cards, those on sponsorship of guardians, such as women not less than 18, husbands of Emirati women, sons and daughters of Emirati women, students of age group not less than 18, and government employees with consent of their institutions. The work permits will not be issued to those above 65.
