All travel partners, from tour guides to bus operators, are women, creating a safe space for some 'me-time'

An Abu Dhabi-based newspaper delivery boy of Khaleej Times, Abdus Sakur Chowdhury, has flown just one international route: From his home country Bangladesh to the UAE. Chowdhury, who has been working in the country for the past five years, is the only earning member of his family comprising his parents, younger brother, wife and a young child.
But on Friday, taking part in the Galadari Fest 2019 turned his life around. He won the mega raffle prize, which is a three-day fully paid return trip from Dubai to Moscow.
A shy Chowdhury was shocked when his name was announced. "I was about to leave the venue just before the raffle prize winner was announced. I stayed around only because my supervisor and colleagues insisted and I am glad I did. I never imagined in my dreams that I would be able to go to another country - and that too with my family - on vacation. I am so grateful to my group company for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime."
Chowdhury said he doesn't even know where Moscow is. "Right after going back, that's the first thing I will do - look where Moscow is."
The mega raffle draw was held at the end of the mega Galadari fest 2019 and gave away three grand prizes to its employees. One prize saw an employee get a year's supply of free Baskin Robins ice cream, while another got an iPhone 11 max pro.
