Girl drowns in home pool

Tailah Jarat Barker, daughter of a South African expatriate, was reported to be playing around the swimming pool at her house alone when she fell in the pool.

By the time the family members noticed her in the pool, it was too late to save her life, her parents have reportedly said.

The family said they called the RAK Police and Civil Defence who recovered the girl’s body from the water. The body was taken to Saqr Hospital for tests. A RAK Police officer said it looked like a case of carelessness of the child’s parents.
