Dubai - Ten under-15 girls have completed the first phase of an intensive course for memorising the Holy Quran. They are expected to complete the course in five years and five months.  In order to clear the first phase, the girls were required to memorise three of the 30 volumes of the Holy Quran, with full command on the recitation and rules. Only those who cleared this first phase were eligible to join the course.

The programme is being conducted at Dar Al Ber Society’s Mamzar Quran Study Centre.

The promising scheme, themed: ‘Young memoriser’, is meant to teach, mentor and train young girls, below the age of 15, to efficiently memorise the complete holy Quran in the given time period.

Muza Naseeb, general administrator of the Quran study centres for females at the Dar Al Ber Society, said the bipartite memorisation programme consists of two sections.

“The first, dedicated for full Quran memorisation, will continue for three years, and the second part, designed to revise and review whatever has been memorised, will last for another two-and-half years.” -ahmedshaaban@khaleejtimes.com
