Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a five-day training course for the workers in family guidance in the Arab countries, Dr Kaabi said that family guidance is crucial in solving the problems facing families through dialogue and offering consultation.
“A family is the nucleus of the society, but the challenges and pressures faced by families in our Arab societies had affected the structure, values and the way of life of the family, as well the relations between its members,” he said, stressing that globalisation and information revolution are threatening the national and cultural indentity of Arab families.
