‘Guidance to Islam is Allah’s greatest gift’

Giving us guidance to Islam, the right path to real happiness in life and hereafter, is on top of all the countless gifts and blessings Allah has bestowed on human beings, said Islamic scholar Dr Sheikh Abdullah Al Musleh in a lecture at the 11th session of Ramadan Forum on Friday night at Twar tent.

In his speech on the Miracles of the Holy Quran, the Saudi preacher said God Almighty has supported all prophets with many outstanding miracles as evidence of their prophecy. “However, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was quite different in the number, diversity and significance of the miracles he was granted by God.”

Dr Al Musleh, who is also the Secretary-General of the International Commission on Scientific Signs in the Quran and Sunnah, said Prophet Muhammad was backed with around 1,000 miracles.

Dr Musleh then spotlighted several recently discovered scientific facts which were mentioned in the Quran over 1,433 years ago.

“Man only knew that the moon was a shining star like the sun, but later faded up after six space trips between 1969 and 1972 though that was mentioned in the Quran.

“Though approved in the prophet’s sayings that man’s body consists of 360 joints, scientists were only able to prove the same recently,” he added.

“As scientifically affirmed, man’s skin does 15 functions, on top of which is pain feeling, as confirmed in chapter 4/56 of the Quran in which Allah talks about disbelievers whose roasted skins are replaced with new ones to taste punishment in hell.”

Finally, Dr Musleh talked about the miracles of oceanology or marine science as stated in the Quran. “Each and every sea does have an incision below,” he said, indicating that the Red Sea, the latest of all seas, does have a slot filled with fire under the surface of the water.
