DUBAI — The Department of Health and Medical Services (Dohms) has advised travellers to acquire health insurance before travelling so as to deal with emergencies abroad.

Dr Ebtesam Bastaki, Head of the Airport Clinic, said that starting from next month a three-month long campaign will be launched at the airport and travel agencies to educate holiday-makers on the need to acquire health insurance before travelling. "The campaign will include activities targeting travellers in particular and the public in general. Brochures in Arabic and English will also be distributed at the airport clinic," she added.
