Heavy Rains in Dubai and Fujairah

FUJAIRAH — Torrential rains lashed parts of the country, including Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah, on Sunday. The heavy rains in Fujairah were accompanied by lightning and thunder along with a drop in temperature.

Several areas of Fujairah like Sharm, Qadfa, Merbeh, Dibba, Wadi Sahm, Thawban, Massafi, Al Buthna and Ghoub observed heavy downpour, while Kalba city, Khorfakkan and Wadi Al Helw witnessed heavy intermittent rains that lasted nearly two hours.

There were strong cold winds, lightning and thunder on Monday followed by clear sunny weather along with 
some clouds.

The rains left valleys (Wadis) of Al Buthna, Al Farfar, Sijji and Thawban flooded. Most of the areas and villages just below the mountainous chains were seen flooded.
