Eid is the time when every Muslims' heart is in a race of joy. On the day of Eid, the entire family is ready to go to the mosque and thank God for all he has given and ask for forgiveness and happiness. After the prayer is over, we head back home to a table full of delicious breakfast.
Then we relax and take a few photos of our Eid dresses and post on our respective groups and also send Eid wishes to our friends and relatives. I get the aroma of the mouthwatering biriyani coming from the kitchen by 1.30pm. We all have a classic lunch and then go for a short nap after our noon prayer.
Every Eid, all our relatives come to our villa in the evening as it is a routine to get together and a must for my parents. We have a wonderful time with our cousins while the elders catch up socially. We all have a delicious spread of dishes for dinner. Our relatives leave by 10.30 pm, and I am exhausted and hit the bed after my night prayer.

All of our Eid mornings start with the Eid prayer and then mom preparing this traditional sweet milky dish called sheer-korma that is served hot in a bowl. Since we don't have a lot of family in Dubai, we tend to celebrate Eid amongst ourselves by engaging in leisure activities such as go-karting or bowling.
Living in Dubai, we tend to indulge in expenses, especially on occasions such as these, which is why we use the Entertainer app to enjoy a few of the hundreds of options. Regardless of what we do every year, we as a family always make sure that Eid is celebrated together.

Eid is the only occasion I get to celebrate with all happiness. Waking up right after the sunrise to head towards the Masjid and seeing it filled with beautiful souls. Getting back home, we greet our elders and young ones with love and respect, and in return, the younger ones always get Eidi from their elders, which is money or sometimes valuable gifts to make them happy.
Our mothers will be busy cooking food, and we'll have a small visit to the graveyard to greet our ancestors and the ones who passed away. We welcome our huge family into our house, and the excitement of Eid gets more significant along with the number of relatives visiting our home. The last day of Eid is always a special day with the family, where we go somewhere together for making it a memorable day.

Eid Al Fitr, unlike other festivities, is more emotion to me than a celebration. To me, the biggest excitement is always the Eid Gaah, where people of all differences, status and race come together to the House of Allah to seek his guidance and gratitude, bowing in prayer.
And with no hesitation, they greet each other despite not knowing one another after the prayer ends. This gesture is so beautiful, to see people of different backgrounds unite spiritually.

When it comes to Eid, I always have two plans in mind. One is with my family, and the second will be with friends, which respectively takes place on the first day and the second day of Eid. When it comes to family plans, I take the car out, take my parents and my sister, all the way to Dubai from Abu Dhabi and visit Dubai mall, watch the fountain show and admire Burj Khalifa.
With friends, we take like two or three cars, go in a group and cover the entire UAE, starting from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, to Al Ain from Fujairah, again back to Abu Dhabi. It takes us almost two days to cover the entire UAE. We don't include the full UAE though, but we cover the main parts of each emirate. Every time we go to different emirates, we try to visit new places. Thanks to Google, we get to know which areas we've never visited.

The origin of Eid Al Fitr was when it was first recorded in 1730-40, and it means "the festival of the breaking of the fast". Eid being an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide, we start our morning by having a sweet dish for breakfast.
Then, we dress up for the morning prayers to go to the Masjid. After that, the entire morning is spent visiting houses of those whose near and dear ones may have passed away in Ramadan or anyone who is facing any difficult situations to lend a helping hand and spread happiness on the day of Eid. The evening is spent visiting a park and resting after a tasty feast.
