Dr Ali has 38 years experience in research, academia and administration. His career started with Suparco (Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Centre) in Pakistan where he served as sectional head and worked extensively on research projects focused on Space and Upper Atmosphere. He then moved to the UK to do his Ph.D in Physics. He has also held several significant positions in research facilities, institutions and universities across the Middle East and Pakistan.

Speaking to Khaleej Times about his presentation, Dr Ali said that many verses in the Holy Quran are relevant to modern science. "The Quran is a divine revelation and it describes in detail astronomy, physics, geography, geology, oceanology, embryology, solar system and a lot more," he said.

Dr Ali said that it was after great research and observation that he came up with a presentation focusing on the Holy Quran and physics. "Physics is seen through the eyes of Holy Quran with the objective of ascertaining its (Quran's) truthfulness and providing a chance to verify its authenticity.

Giving further examples from the Quranic aya (verses) and their relativity to modern science, Dr Ali explained that science has recently discovered that all things in the universe - including the plant life, fruits, day and night, man and woman, black and white - all come in pairs, but Holy Quran mentioned this 1,400 years back.

He further explained that though all things were in pairs, they were headed by a single working unit e.g. head of a family, head of an institution etc. "Likewise, the head of the universe is also one," he added.

Dr Ali also explained the relativity of Big Bang theory in science with that mentioned in the Holy Quran. He also mentioned in detail the relevance of the Quran and water, Quran and the solar system concluding that the scientific evidence of the Quran clearly proves its divine origin.

Dr Ali is, at present, working as the head of the department YIC, a prestigious project of the Royal Commission for Yanbu and Jubail under the Saudi Government to train Saudi nationals in industrial sector covering verticals like oil and gas, petro-chemicals, automobiles and manufacturing and IT industries. He plans to write a book related to similar topics in the near future.
