Dubai - The organising committee of the international Holy Quran competition, the Dubai International Holy Quran Awards (DIHQA), recently set the arbitration system and guidelines for the competition's 20th edition. A detailed presentation on the best way to use the electronic arbitration system was conducted.
Prof Mohammed Abdulrahim Sultan-al-Ulama, Head of the Competition Unit, explained the bylaw of the e-arbitration system to members of the arbitration committee, at the award headquarters in Al Mamzar area. Prominent Syrian scholar Sheikh Ayman Rushdi Suwaid as also been named chairman of the arbitration committee for this edition, named after the late Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
Upto 92 countries, including the UAE, have confirmed their participation in the 20th edition of DIHQA, to be held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry between the seventh and and eighteenth days of the Holy Month. This is the first time the 13-category award has received over 90 applications, an unprecedented number, said Ibrahim Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Head of DIHQA Organising Committee.
