DTCM Manager Human Resources Ibrahim Yaqoot said: “DTCM is highly active in community and social issues pertaining to culture, religion and traditions and does not miss an opportunity to extend help in whatever way it can. The DTCM sponsor events in cooperation with non-profit organisations as well.”
Al Farooq Centre, where the event was held, regularly provides its services to hold such events outside Dubai as well.
Abdul Qader Alameri, Director of Al Farooq Centre, said: “We appreciate the support by the DTCM. This is not the first time that the DTCM supported such an initiative. We welcome the department's regular support for such noble causes. The centre was established four years ago and this is the second consecutive year that this session was held.”
Till date, 80 children and youth have participated in the recitation of the Holy Quran in sessions during the past two years.
This year, the Holy Quran Recitation session started on June 5 and concluded on August 12 with the active cooperation of the Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation.
