SHARJAH - Sharjah's Al Hammriya Free Zone has been voted the second best marketer in the Arab world, adding another achievement to its record.
The honour was bestowed on the free zone by the Gulf Marketing Review magazine. Shaikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the zone, said that the honour was a fruit of persistent development plans and strict application of international standards of quality management.
The zone has received the Century International Prize for 2002, becoming the first zone in the world to receive such an honour. It has also become the first zone in the world to win the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental safety. It has been awarded the ISO 9002 quality certificate for its outstanding services.
