Hospital employees honoured

DUBAI — As many as 31 employees of Al Wasl Hospital were honoured by Dubai Department of Health and Medical Services (Dohms) during the hospital’s annual staff honouring ceremony organised by the hospital’s Ladies Club at its premises on Thursday.

The distinguished employees were physicians, nurses, lab technicians, administrators and heads of various sections. These employees were recognised for their accomplishments and community service which contributed a great deal to enhancing the hospitals medical services for the public.

During the ceremony, Khalid Al Shaikh, Deputy Director, Dohms; and Abdullah Al Khayat, Director, Al Wasl Hospital, honoured the employees and hailed their performance which contributed to enhancing the hospital’s reputation in the country.

The ceremony was attended by officials from Dohms, Dubai Medical District and representatives from various medical institutions in Dubai as well as members of the hospital’s Ladies Club and a large number of the hospital employees.

Starting with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the ceremony featured speeches by Al Khayat and Widad Bu Humaid, Head of the Customer Services Section at the hospital, besides various competitions.

The ceremony was sponsored by a group of companies including Damas, Al Jabir Optical Centre, Ahmed Al Siddiqui and Sons Group of companies, Dubai Commercial Bank, Studio Rose, Al Fawalla Outlet and Al Andalaib for Gift and Flowers.

Addressing on the occasion, Al Khayat said that the hospital management was supposed to hold the ceremony last year to honour such faithful employees, but it was cancelled due to certain circumstances.

He hailed the performance of the honoured employees who contributed in promoting the convenient medical services that provided to the public by the hospital.

Ms Bu Humaid in her speech said that hospital management is always dedicated to recognising the services of its employees.
