From traditional carols to Middle Eastern cuisine and traditions, Atlantis has already started events for guests to celebrate with friends and family this holiday season.
As one enters the Grand Lobby, guests are welcomed by the scent of cinnamon and cloves from the authentic Gluhwein, the traditional Christmas drink. The traditional drink is served from noon to midnight daily.
The hotel has also lined up entertainment for all ages — a holiday choir, special DJs, bands and even special children’s entertainment, including special appearances by Santa Claus and his elves.
Ashley McBain of Kerzner International, the hotel’s public relations firm, said a traditional holiday choir will be performing at Poseidon’s Court till December 25 to ensure that everyone is in the festive spirit. The custom of roasting warm chestnuts will take place on the Levantine Terrace.
As a special treat for younger guests, Santa Claus will be making special appearances on the Christmas eve and on December 25 with gifts and treats for children at both Kaleidoscope and Saffron.
The Atlantis Kids Club and Club Rush will be full of excitement where festive fun comes in many forms, from arts and crafts for last-minute gifts for mom and dad or newly made friends to sing-along to classic holiday movies. Santa will also be making appearances.
The Atlantis Kids Club has two climbing walls and a theatre where the kids can get involved with themed productions and a command centre to play their favourite games. The club is open to both resort Atlantis guests and non-resort guests.
For older kids, Club Rush is the place to celebrate the holidays. The fully supervised ‘No Adults’ private club will offer a variety of events — gaming competitions, best dressed parties, ice bar mocktail competitions, favourite Christmas movies, Bad Santa, Fred Claus and Christmas vacation. For sporting action, there will be rugby on the beach, table tennis, volleyball and basketball.
