Indian expat from Ras Al Khaimah won Dh20 million in Big Ticket raffle draw held behind closed doors in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
Jijesh Korothan, who watched the draw live, won with his ticket number 041779.
"I was watching the draw live with my wife and daughter. I will be sharing this with two of my friends," Korothan told Richard, who called the jackpot winner.
"I was planning to send family to India." Korothan had bought this ticket on March 19.
"I have been buying ticket for last six months."
The draw was changed to 2 pm instead of 7.30pm and remained closed to public as a precautionary measure. It was, however, streamed live on official Facebook and YouTube pages.
