Indian folk dances show

DUBAI - 'Feel India', a unique dance show, featuring some of the best folk dances of India, will take place on April 23 at the Shaikh Rashid Auditorium in Dubai. Organised in association with India Tourism, Dubai, and supported by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Indian Consulate, Dubai, the two-and-a-half hour show will see dances such as Bhangra from Punjab to Garba from Gujarat being performed by artistes from the respective states.

A fusion, showcasing well-known folk dances from Kerala and Tamil Nadu will also be presented, which would attempt to bridge the cultural gap between people. Folk dances from eight states will be presented in the first part of the show, which will feature dances from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and West Bengal. Entrance is free and by invitation only.
