Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and people of the UAE on the eve of its National Day on December 2.
In his message to The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, Mr Mukherjee said: "On behalf of the government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it is my pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Highness and to the people of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of your National Day."
"India and UAE enjoy close and friendly relations deeply rooted in civilizational links. These ties are marked by vibrant people-to-people contacts, mutually beneficial economic and trade engagement and regular high-level exchanges.
"Under your sagacious and visionary leadership, the UAE has made remarkable progress. We rejoice at UAE's progress and remain committed to be a reliable partner. I am confident that our bilateral ties in various spheres will continue to diversify and strengthen in the years to come.
"I take this opportunity to convey to Your Highness my best wishes for your personal good health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the United Arab Emirates," Mr Mukherjee added.
