The region's first multicultural festival park, the Global Village, has announced the launch of its 21st splendid season with new additions and attractions. With the theme "New World Every Day" the most awaited shopping and fun arrangement in Dubai will open its doors on November 1.
As many as 30 pavilions will represent more than 75 countries with new additions like the Far East, Algeria and Eastern Europe (Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine). Jordan will make a splendid comeback to the carnival this year, but Tunisia will be missing.
Celebrations for 159 days will continue till April 8 with promises of a fun-filled magical ride with more than 12,000 entertainment shows.
"This year, the focus is more on cultural shows and events," said Ahmad Hussain bin Essa, CEO of Global Village.
"Last year, we observed that around 55 per cent of our guests were more keen on watching the shows and performances. Taking that into account, we have incorporated more international and in-house shows this year. We are expecting 5.3 million guests to turn up of which 25 per cent would be tourists and 75 per cent residents like last year. We are also expecting an increase of 3.5 per cent in the sales transactions in 2016," he added.
With an objective of making it a completely entertainment and power-packed show, the Global Village team has come up with a few outstanding additions.
