Kaspersky unveils security platform

Kaspersky Lab announced on Wednesday its new flagship corporate security platform, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business.

The launch of Endpoint Security in the UAE follows the global launch announcement at the company’s Cyber Security Summit titled: “How Cyber-Warfare Impacts Corporate IT Security” that was held in New York, late last month.

The summit featured insights from a variety of recognised IT security experts. These guests included Howard Schmidt, former Cyber-Security Coordinator of the Obama administration; Lawrence Orans, Research Director, Gartner Inc; and several security representatives of international businesses such as RIM and PayPal.

Kaspersky Lab executives and researchers, who shared their latest threat intelligence, expert insights and valuable strategies to help businesses combat cybercrime, joined the experts on stage.

Throughout the presentations and panel discussions, the dangers of cyber-weapons were a consistent theme, and Kaspersky Lab CEO and founder Eugene Kaspersky told the audience that an eventual cyber-attack against a high-profile corporation or critical infrastructure was inevitable.
